WHAT
IS THE ZODIAC? |
 |
|
|
 |
|
At the
time and date of birth, the
planets will be at certain
positions in the Zodiac.
They will also be in certain
houses, form certain
aspects, and the Ascendant
and Midheaven will be
defined also for that
specific time and date and
place of birth.
All this information can be
represented pictorially in a
"Birthchart", or "Horoscope
Wheel", as shown.
Around the edge are the
twelve signs of the Zodiac -
shown by their symbols.
Within the circle are the
planets, also shown by their
symbols and positioned
within the circle at their
respective positions along
the Zodiac. The Houses are
shown by dividing this
circle diametrically,
beginning at the Ascendant
and proceeding around the
wheel every thirty degrees,
as is also shown.
This construction - the Birthchart - is essentially
a "photograph" of the
heavens at a given time and
date, which is why the date
and time of your birth must
be known. It is unique to
that time and date, and also
the location on the surface
of the Earth which is why
the place of birth must also
be known, and therefore
unique to the person for
whom the chart is drawn.
Thus the birthchart contains
all the information the
astrologer needs to perform
his art. We have within it
the planetary positions both
in the Zodiac and in the
houses - from which the
aspects may be computed, the
Ascendant and Midheaven, and
from this the astrologer may
deduce any other
astrological measurements
that he requires.
All of these things are used
by astrologers to determine
the character, and predict
the future of the individual
for whom the horoscope is
cast. The Sun in Aries for
example means something
different as regards a
person’s character than the
Sun in Taurus. And similarly
for the other planets, and
the aspects they form as
well as the houses they
occupy at the time of birth.
The detailed "reading" or
"delineation" as it is
called is quite a complex
process and demands a good
deal of experience. The
horoscope you have here is
very detailed and accurate
and conforms to standard and
tested astrological practice
- which is, as both an art
and a science, many
thousands of years old!

what makes a pisces tick? |
|

|
Some
of these Pisceans should be
canonised, they are so far advanced
along the road to spiritual
enlightenment.
Now, there are two sorts of
Pisceans; this last sign of the
zodiac is ruled by two planets
Jocular, jaunty Jupiter, and
nebulous, nectarine Neptune. The
Jupiter-ruled Pisceans are very akin
to Sagittarians, because they share
the same ruler. But Jupiterian
Pisceans aren't so prone to the
flights of fancy shown by
Sagittarians. Their ruler represents
wealth and good fortune, and the
Jupiterian Pisces will always have
an eye on these things. In fact,
Pisces brings out these Jupiterian
qualities beautifully, making the
Piscean full of fun and clever at
bringing in the boodle. Negatively,
there will be a tendency towards
over-expansion, whether in girth,
mirth, or wheeling and dealing. But
these Pisceans do burst with
bounteous bonhomie, and can be
gloriously generous and marvelously
magnanimous.
Because of the saintly side
of this sign, Pisceans can be very
devout and pious. If they are ruled
by Jupiter, they will accept the
faith or religion they have been
brought up in. A Neptunian Piscean,
however, will be more unusual, even
mystical, and may find Eastern
religions especially attractive.
This is a profoundly psychic
sign., and the Piscean should use
this ability positively to live a
better life. Many Pisceans become
fascinated by black magic and the
occult, like Scorpios, because they
are seduced by secrecy. But,
generally, Pisceans have an
inspiration that can draw them
wholeheartedly into the realms of
the positive supernatural and
mystical. They are also intensely
interested in spiritualism, because
it helps them to get in touch with
that unseen lot they feel so much a
part of.
Neptunian Pisceans waft along
on clouds, day-dreaming away to
their heart's content. They really
aren't part of this world at all!
These Pisceans will appear magical
and mystical, and they can be
profoundly artistic and unworldly
sometimes to the point of being
gullible or geniuses. Lord Byron had
powerful Piscean placings, and
Mozart and Chopin both had the Sun
in this sign, as does Rudolph
Nureyev, who brought a whole new
concept to ballet.
What you must remember about
Neptune is that this planet gives an
illusory image to everything it
encounters. Neptune represents
something that can never be captured
or held on to. Think of an
intangible will-o'-the-wisp, or a
piece of thistledown floating
through the air that always eludes
you, and you have the perfect
picture of Pisceans.
They can bring this quality
into their everyday lives, imbuing
them with illusion, and smothering
them in strange sea mists. You will
think you're looking at one thing,
then the shadows shift and you
discover you're seeing something
quite different.
Everything that Neptune does
is intensified in an ethereal way,
so Neptunian Pisceans will be
hypersensitive, and as fragile as a
butterfly's wing. They can feel
neurotically nauseated by anything
ugly, whether it's society, sights,
sounds or situations. Some Pisceans
can't stand the slightest facial
flaw, let alone anything else. Yet
such is their spiritual
self-awareness, that often they will
devote their lives to the very
vocations which you'd think they
couldn't bear. For example, they
might join the prison service, look
after the old and infirm, and the
mentally and physically handicapped.
These positive Pisceans force
themselves to face up to their
phobias, and bring some good out of
them. Other Pisceans will only want
the erotic, exotic, seductive and
sumptuous side of life, and none of
the unpleasant parts.
I can hear you saying That
sounds like Libra!', and you'd be
right. Neptune is said to be the
higher octave of Venus, a sort of
top C of the zodiac. It's like a dog
whistle, which is too high for
humans lo hear and this is what
Neptunian natives are like they're
listening to a high pitched tone
that the rest of us can't catch.
Equally, Jupiter is said to be the
higher octave of Mercury, and
Jupiterian folk can understand all
the deeper things of life that a
Mercury ruled person skims over.
Between them. Mercury and Jupiter
rule the four Mutable signs Gemini,
Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
Neptune is a fantastically
fabulous figure. On a positive
level, its influence means that
Neptunians can be wonderful writers,
divine dancers and profound poets
and incurable romantics. But
negatively, they can be monstrously
Machiavellian, playing one person
off against another. Some of them
make Lucretia Borgia look like
Little Bo Peep: they can be
malicious and malevolent, vicious
and venomous, treacherous and
two-faced and this is how we get the
symbol of Pisces, which is a fish
swimming in different directions.
Pisceans are either way up at the
top of the tree or at rock bottom;
either the nurse helping the drug
addict or the addict himself.
Pisceans are vulnerable, and
can be victims of the unknown, murky
depths of their imaginations and
subconscious minds. They are either
inspired, or they're the dregs of
the earth, who rely on society to
look after them.
There's no getting away from
it. This sign is a mystery, but not
in a Scorpionic way. Rather, it's
unworldly, in a delicious,
delectable, gossamer-like way. There
is a flimsy veil hiding what is
really going on in the Piscean's
life. The Piscean can inhabit a very
weird world, and the worst thing
Pisceans can do is to drift along on
an aimless sea, when their phobias,
fetishes and fixations may well get
the better of them. They are very
impressionable indeed, and negative
Pisceans will be plagued by
psychosomatic problems that they
have brought on themselves. Positive
Pisceans can direct that abundant
artistry, that magnificent
mysticism, into a brilliant
conclusion. Or they can live such
serene and spiritual lives that
nothing else matters, because their
tremendous inner peace brings them
total fulfilment.
Think of your Piscean
friends, and you'll realise that
something strange sets them apart
from everyone else. You can't put
your finger on it, but you know it's
there. Remember those sea mists. One
minute the view is as clear as a
bell, the next you're sinking into a
ferocious fog! It's a magical,
mystical mystery. |

pisces as a friend |
|

|
IIf you want to make a Piscean
pal's day, be ill. Honestly! Line up and croak like a flu-ridden
frog down the phone. Your Piscean friend will be happy to nurse them
back to health. That's if your pal is positive. Negative Pisceans
can be real fair-weather friends, first in the queue for the
champagne when you're celebrating, but nowhere to be seen when the
cork has hit you in the eye!
This is a Mutable sign, so Pisceans will flow in a very fluid
way in whatever directions their fancies take them and unless there
is a lot of Fixity in a Piscean 's chart, he or she will tend to
have a colossal collection of chums, and circulate freely among
them. In fact, because of their love of fantasy, it is important for
Pisceans constantly to meet new people. The type of friendship you
get will depend on the Piscean, of course.
Like Librans, Pisceans wll often do anything to avoid an
argy-bargy, and some Pisceans won't say a word to friends who are
being rude and repellent.
A Piscean pal will be a smashing social success, and you'll
have a whale of a time together, especially if you like dancing and
getting into the swing of things. But sometimes the Piscean friend
can lean too heavily on a very capable chum, and irritate them.
Friends can also get very fed up with Piscean pals who tell
whoppers and become completely caught up in the webs of fantasy they
weave. If you discover this trait early on, you can accept it as
part of the Piscean's character, and chuckle about it when you're on
your own. However, if you have such high morals and principles that
you can't stand the lying that may go on, a Fishy friend is not for
you. You'll find it a trial to put up with the Piscean's embroidery
of life's rich tapestry, making Spanish tangles out of French knots.
Don't make the mistake of mixing up duplicity with
Mutability. Some Pisceans seem to be lying when actually they're
telling you the truth. They just change their minds a lot! One day
they'll say they adore something and the next announce that they
loathe it. When you accuse them of lying, they will look hurt and
then confused.
All in all, a Piscean pal might be a bit of a luxury, unless
he or she is a highly-developed Piscean more of a salmon than a
sardine. Otherwise, you may find that unless your friend can prove
him or herself to be a pal, and not drown you in double-dealing, it
can all be a lot of hard work for you. You'd do better just to meet
once a month for a good giggle, and let someone else sort out the
truth from the tall tales. |

pisces IN LOVE |
|

|
A Piscean in love can be really daft and soppy, quite batty,
casting caution to the winds and throwing him or herself totally at
the feet of the loved one.
Fantasy can take over from reality when Pisceans are in love,
and it's only when other forces come into play that the Piscean will
see the folly of it all. Another Piscean pal lived a wonderful game
of love for three years, and regaled her mates with all sorts of
intimate details about her love-affair. It was only later that she
admitted that not a word of it had been true.
If Pisceans can find someone who reciprocates the limitless
love they can dole out. then they'll be on cloud nine, and bluebirds
of happiness will be forever tweeting in the background. But the
Piscean problem is that because they give so much, they have got to
know early on whether that love is going to be returned and that's
where the difficulty lies.
This is why more Pisceans are victims of unrequited love than
any other sign. The Piscean can love from afar, sometimes secretly.
He or she may not need the other person to know, because the reality
will never be as divine as the dream. Disillusionment is a bitter
pill to swallow. The Piscean sensitivity is so profound that very
often Pisceans can build barriers around themselves, shutting off
the rest of the harsh, cruel world. Pisceans can pretend that their
partners love them a lot, when actually they couldn't care less. But
when a Piscean's paramour says that love is dead, the Piscean will
be flummoxed, flattened and filleted, and in such a turmoil it can
take years for him or her to get over the experience.
Fishy love can be very clever stuff, but it can also be
nail-bitingly neurotic. Pisceans can literally fall in love at the
drop of a hat. But sometimes they confuse love with infatuation:
their Neptunian natures mean that they can be beguiled by beauty and
deceived by desire, yearning for an unattainable amour!
Negative Pisceans can drown their sorrows by getting sozzled
or stoned, because they have reached the ends of their emotional
tethers and nothing else can help. Piscean emotions run
devastatingly deep, which is why some of them are adept at emotional
blackmail, and why their subconscious has such a hold over them.
Some Pisceans can play games all the time. Others can imprison
themselves for love and become complete and utter martyrs. This can
be like Libra, but at least they have rational natures. All Pisceans
have are bottomless oceans of love.
If you're thinking this sounds just like your cup of tea, you
may want to know how to procure a Piscean. First of all, look in the
mirror. Have you got what it takes facially? If not, never mind! Be
kind, charming and cherishing and the Piscean will fall for that
side of your nature.
Although some Piscean women fantasize over big butch men, you
won't catch your Piscean by being aggressive and belligerent. In
many ways you should kill Pisceans with tenderness and woo them with
it too. You must be as romantic as they are, but not to the point of
being weak and wet. Pisceans need strong partners who can look after
them. Cuddle and caress your Piscean, nestle your amour in your
arms, and say the world's wonderful. Your Piscean will believe you.
After all, these Pisceans will believe anything! |
