WHAT
IS THE ZODIAC? |
 |
|
|
 |
|
At the
time and date of birth, the
planets will be at certain
positions in the Zodiac.
They will also be in certain
houses, form certain
aspects, and the Ascendant
and Midheaven will be
defined also for that
specific time and date and
place of birth.
All this information can be
represented pictorially in a
"Birthchart", or "Horoscope
Wheel", as shown.
Around the edge are the
twelve signs of the Zodiac -
shown by their symbols.
Within the circle are the
planets, also shown by their
symbols and positioned
within the circle at their
respective positions along
the Zodiac. The Houses are
shown by dividing this
circle diametrically,
beginning at the Ascendant
and proceeding around the
wheel every thirty degrees,
as is also shown.
This construction - the Birthchart - is essentially
a "photograph" of the
heavens at a given time and
date, which is why the date
and time of your birth must
be known. It is unique to
that time and date, and also
the location on the surface
of the Earth which is why
the place of birth must also
be known, and therefore
unique to the person for
whom the chart is drawn.
Thus the birthchart contains
all the information the
astrologer needs to perform
his art. We have within it
the planetary positions both
in the Zodiac and in the
houses - from which the
aspects may be computed, the
Ascendant and Midheaven, and
from this the astrologer may
deduce any other
astrological measurements
that he requires.
All of these things are used
by astrologers to determine
the character, and predict
the future of the individual
for whom the horoscope is
cast. The Sun in Aries for
example means something
different as regards a
person’s character than the
Sun in Taurus. And similarly
for the other planets, and
the aspects they form as
well as the houses they
occupy at the time of birth.
The detailed "reading" or
"delineation" as it is
called is quite a complex
process and demands a good
deal of experience. The
horoscope you have here is
very detailed and accurate
and conforms to standard and
tested astrological practice
- which is, as both an art
and a science, many
thousands of years old!

what makes an aries tick? |
|

Me,
me, me! No, it's not an opera singer
practicing the scales, but the Arian
catch phrase. This is the first sign
of the zodiac, and Arians like
everyone to remember that and
because this is such a fun-loving,
frisky sign, Arians can get away
with it. The positive side of Aries
is like a scene from The African
Queen, in which our intrepid
explorers boldly go where only
crocodiles have gone before. Arians
are active, alive, awake, assertive
and adventurous, hacking their way
through the undergrowth of life. But
they can take this exuberance to
extremes.
Arians can step out, putting their
best feet forward and sinking up to
their best end of necks in trouble.
Luscious Libra is the polar sign of
assertive Aries, and these signs
have a lot to learn from each other.
Librans always put others first,
which is something Arians find
almost impossible to do. In fact, a
relationship between these two is
their idea of heaven, because they
both think about the Arian.
Sometimes, this can cause problems
in the course of true love. Male
Arians may forget about the wife and
six kids at home and gad about like
a bachelor gay, with a collection of
conquests. Arian women may throw
their weight about too, demanding
new dresses and wanting to be taken
to the best restaurants, even when
their men haven't got two
halfpennies to rub together. Mars,
the planet that gives them that
gorgeous get-up-and-go, that
delicious drive and determination,
rules Aries.
Mighty Mars rules Scorpio, too, when
he shares the limelight with
powerful Pluto. Then he can make
Scorpios furtive and underhand, but
when he's in open Aries, it's a very
different story. Arians can be so
candid and frank that it's an
excruciating experience to hear
them. You can meet your Martian mate
for a meal, and swan in, looking
sensational. The Arian will take one
look at you and say 'That frock
makes you look fatter than ever.'
There's something rather ingenuous
about Aries because this is the
first sign of the zodiac. Rams
represent the babies of the
celestial sky. Sometimes they're so
naive and innocent it's astounding,
and they'll dash off and do or say
something really reckless. They can
also have terrible temper tantrums,
like a tired toddler, and shout and
scream till they're blue in the
face. Assertive Arians are so
determined to get what they want
that they'll let nothing stand in
their way. They'll go on until it
kills them. Every sign has its own
song, and the Arian's aria must be
'Let's Get Physical'. Rams are
imbued with enough physical energy
to fill a whole football team. But,
like children, they have to find
positive pursuits in which to burn
it all off. Arians are full of fire,
fun, vivacity, verve and virility.
But they can fritter away their
fantastic physical fitness, and
instead of having an active social,
sports or sex life, turn to violence
and vandalism. Some of these
Martians can be all brawn and no
brain, thinking with their fists or
any other part of the anatomy that
springs to mind! Arians have
powerful passions and strong sex
drives! Arians are like medieval
knights, arrayed in armour and
jousting for superiority. Their
fiery natures make them compulsively
competitive, and determined to do
battle. They have got to come first.
Rams, lambs and sheep hate losing,
whether at Ludo, life or love. When
they see success slipping away,
they'll fight tooth and claw,
frightening off folk in their
flocks. Watch out; watch out,
there's an Aries about! |

aries as a friend |
|

|
If you’re a stodgy
stay-at-home, you don't want a Martian marvel for a mate. If your
idea of a good time is a quiet night in front of the TV. your Arian
pal will drag you off to the sports centre or down to the pub
quicker than you can say 'What's on next?' Arians make fantastic
friends. They can transform your life, turning a dull and dreary day
into something bright and breezy.
These folk will try anything once, and will get you to have a
go, too. In fact, Arians can be like a walking bottle of tonic wine,
making you bounce about, as if you'd just had an injection of iron.
There are a lot of wilting wallflowers who've become pepped-up
pansies, simply because an Arian has watered them, dusted their
leaves and given them a new lease of life, with their very own brand
of Baby Bio. Now, hold on a minute, before you gallop off to grab a
whole farmyard of lively lambs. Arians don't like competition. If
you're the mate of a Martian, you can't be a rival to your Ram. He
or she may love you dearly, but will hate it if you forge ahead in
any way. Some Arians pick pals they can pounce on passionately when
the fancy takes them. But many Martians choose chums who are
inferior in some way, and perhaps just content to sit on the
sidelines and watch them, showing off. You must be prepared for an
active social life when you've got an Arian friend. If your Martian
mate rings you up and asks you out, try not to say 'But I'm washing
my hair'. But usually, once you've attracted an Arian, as a friend
or a lover, he or she will devote a lot of time to you. But let's
not kid ourselves.
This is a Cardinal sign, so the Arian will always have one
eye on the main chance, and think it's worth their while having you
as a mate, because you'll be of help somehow. But the other eye will
be pinned on your personality and that's when the Arian will help
you, and cheer you up when you're down in the dumps. In fact. if
you've just lost something, whether it's a loved one, your bet on
the 2.15 at Aintree, or all your marbles, one of the best signs to
have around you is Aries. Most Martians have a plethora of pals, but
there's always a central cast of cherished chums that doesn't
change.
Others may come and go especially if the Arian fancies them
and lures them into bed! Sex often plays a part in a friendship for
this sign. Arians can get fun and friendship mixed up, and sometimes
ruin everything in the process. If your pal suddenly pounces,
remember not to show any signs of attachment, or you won't see the
Arian for dust. But you can have a grand time with a Martian mate if
you keep your wits about you and are full of fun and frolics. You
have only to think of Rupert Bear taking his pals on adventures to
see a Martian mate at his best. There's never a dull moment with a
Ram. Can you stand the pace?

aries IN LOVE |
|

|
Romance to a an Arian isn't always a
tender scene from Romeo and Juliet. Sometimes, it's more like a
torrid ten minutes from a Swedish sex film. Arian amour is active,
and Rams often prefer to give their emotions a physical outlet. This
is a very sexy sign, and few Rams go to bed just to sleep!
And now for the bad news. The Arian attitude of 'me first'
can turn into the Martian mating call, making some of the sign
supremely selfish between the sheets. They can forget that their
partners in passion should get any pleasure, and will get so carried
away that everything's over in two ticks. Some of them want to be
overcome with ecstasy every ten minutes.
Arians love the thrill of the chase, and some Martian men can
develop tender traits which make even Piscean men look like
first-timers. This guy will woo wonderfully, and court
charismatically, drowning his paramour in posies and perfumes,
taking her out to the best joints in town and spouting sonnets like
Shakespeare. However, the minute she shows signs of succumbing to
his sexual shenanigans, he'll cancel the flowers, and drag her back
to his dwelling
Rams can be rather too rampant and rowdy when it comes to
romance, and they need to be coaxed into showing more love and less
lust. But once you've succeeded, you'll be glad you bothered. One of
the most endearing and enthralling things about Arians is that,
although they like to be leaders, they're putty in your hands if
they love you, and will do anything for you. But don't go mad!
Remember that Rams are completely honest and childlike, and that
what you see is what there is.
Just as they're the babies of the zodiac, so they are babies
in love, trusting you totally and willing to do anything in return
for your love. Rams often put their loved ones on pedestals,
believing they can do no wrong. But the minute the paramour topples
off the perch, like a parrot that's passed on, the Arian will be
broken-hearted. Arians are especially agonised by deceit and
duplicity in their loved ones, because they're so open and honest
themselves. However, they can be a wee bit hypocritical, because
they often flirt and play the field, even when they've tied the
nuptial knot into a beautiful bow. The reason is that they need
someone at the centre of their lives, who loves and understands
them, but doesn't stop them having delightful dalliances and
exciting encounters. But they always return to their true loves.
However, you may still be at the starting-post. with a an Arian who
just makes sheep's eyes at you. Even if the sight of your Aries
amour makes you go weak at the knees or makes your head swim, and
all you want to do is grab 'em and get on with it don't! Play hard
to get, even if it kills you
If the Arian is interested, he or she will pursue you up hill
and down date. Arians are used to getting whatever they want, and
are fascinated if the quarry doesn't want to be caught. So if an
Arian wants you, but you're one step ahead of the game, he or she
will be intrigued, and try extra hard to catch you. Only surrender
when you're absolutely sure that you've won the heart of your Arian
amour.
